Grace

The best mathematical equation I have ever seen:

1 cross
+ 3 nails
--------
4 given

I got an e-mail today that had this mathematical equation in it. I loved it! It's amazing that God's grace can be shown, even as a mathematical equation. It is a good reminder of what sacrifice God has made for us. I included my favorite picture of Jesus which I have hanging in my family room. It's my favorite because he looks just like one of us. Very human. It's a reminder to me that he came here as a human to understand what we go through on a daily basis. He can relate to us. By being here he also shows us how to love one another. I believe he wants us to understand that we are all sinners and that we need to give each other grace as he has done for us.

Everyday, I get a scripture e-mailed to me and this is the one I got today from a radio station web site.

Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.
1 Peter 4:8, NLT

Although it is only one scripture each day I can at least spend that moment with God and read what his Word says to me. I should spend more time than that, I know, and sometimes I do, but just that one scripture a day gives me hope and faith for my future.

Getting a scripture sent to me each day has blessed my life in great ways. Here is the link if anyone is interested:

Bridger is an All Star

Over the Christmas Holiday Bridger played in a basketball tournament for Midvale Middle School. He did a great job on his team and they named him All Star. Great going, Bridger!

Viva Las Vegas

We finally made the time to go on vacation. Kirk and I took the kids to Las Vegas. I know, I know, not a really great kid atmosphere, however, it was warmer than Salt Lake, the hotel had a heated pool and they had a blast!

I tried to plan a show for every day we were there. Vegas has many free shows and most of them are fun for kids to watch. The first show we went to was at the Rio. It was a New Orleans themed musical show with huge floating floats, like a parade in the sky. We also went to the Belagio and saw the beautiful fountain show. One of the coolest shows was the Fremont Street Experience in the old part of Las Vegas. It was cool!

I took the kids to the Statasphere Tower to go on a ride called Hot Shot. The ride was closed due to the wind so instead they went on a ride called the Xtreme. It was a ride that dangled them over the top of the tower. They claim it wasn't scarey however, I wasn't about to go on it.

Their favorite ride was the roller coaster at New York, New York. While waiting in line a couple of nicely dressed guys started a conversation with Jaiden. They were from back east and were telling me how they were were raised in a big family, the guy talking was the oldest of six. He went on to say that his youngest sister was also a red head. He was very nice, a little tipsy, but pleasant. He got in front of the line and paid for all of my kids to go on the ride. Unfortunelty, Jaiden was too short so I stayed behind with her and watched the others get on the ride. The ride was $14.00 a ticket, he was quite a generous man.

The food in Vegas was awesome. Our room had a kitchen so we ate some of our meals in the room but once a day we made it to a Vegas Buffet and enjoyed all kinds of awesome food.

Well in continuation of the America's Most Wanted story... Kirk was out shoveling the driveway a week later and my neighbor came over to ask him if by chance, there had been some police officers stop by to question Cyndi? He said "no" however there were 12 federal marshals who came by last Saturday at midnight (which was Dec. 6th) and told Cyndi she was featured on America's Most Wanted. Kirk said she turned white. Appeantly, her daughter had just had surgery and was high on pain killers when she saw the feature on America's Most Wanted. She thought the woman featured on the show was me. Her boyfriend and mother tried to stop her but it was too late, she called anyway and the story goes on from there. To read the full America's Most Wanted Post go to posts created in December 2007.

Happy New Years!

We had a wonderful dinner on New Year's Eve. Every year Kirk cooks a wonderful feast of Crab, Shrimp scampi, and Prime Rib or Lobster. Last night we had Prime Rib. Bridger commented that it was the best Prime Rib he had ever tasted. I have to agree with him. The crab was fantastic and Harriet said the Shrimp Scampi was perfect. We had a wonderful evening. After dinner we played Apples to Apples. In fact, the kids are playing again right now. We had a good time. Kirk and the kids set off fireworks and firecrackers at midnight to bring in the New Year! Happy New Years to my family and friends. I hope that this year brings lots of happiness and joy.
God has blessed our family thoughout the years we've been the Freeman Bunch and I feel his grace and love more than ever. So thank you to him for a wonderful 2007 and I know that he will be in our lives even more in 2008.

Fun in the snow!

We skipped church one Sunday and went Sleigh riding. It was a beautiful sunny day and we enjoyed being outside. The kids had a blast!

Ally was ready to hit the hill but wanted to pose for a picture first.

Jaiden wasn't much into sleigh riding. She was more interested in feeding the ducks. She loves animals and enjoyed watching the swans and ducks.

Bridger is about to fly off the sleigh. He kept getting air this day but he always ended up crashing. He didn't care because he was having a good time.

Ally caught some air. She is a brave girl. I remember our very first date was taking the kids sleigh riding. Ally surprised me at 2 years old. She would fly down the mountain, get off the sleigh and carry this huge sleigh all by herself, to the top of the hill and go again. She wasn't afraid of anything and she was tough.

Mashall loves to have fun. His giggle is contagous. I know he caught some good air and few times, I just missed the shot. He had a good time anyway!

Brady loves to catch air. We call the speed demon. He loves to go fast.

The School Christmas Program

Brady Phillip loves to sing and has a great voice.

George Marshall what a cutie.

Jaiden Paige loves to sing, but performing in front of people is not very comfortable.

Ally Jane loves to perform. Everytime I took her picture she was staring at the camera.

I little behind on writing my posts so here goes. Just before school got out the kids performed at a wonderful Christmas program at school. I had to work that day but was able to get off work to go see my beautiful children sing. They did a great job and it was fun to attend. It was nice to hear Christmas songs. I was amazed at the last song, Silient Night! All of the kids from the school performed a beautiful harmony that gave me chills.

Christmas

Our first party was with the Hart's. We had a great time. There were so many cute pictures I had to make a collage to share them.

Christmas was extra special this year because I had more time off than previous years.
It was fun to spend time with family and friends.

Ally posed Christmas morning in her new robe and new hat!

We went the Gwinnup family party at an arcade and the kids got to play as many games as they wanted. They loved it!

We spent time with good friends. Hannah and Sharon came over and played Rock Band with us and we had a blast!
